History of Spanish Point

The first point on your intriguing historical adventure is, of course, the rich history of Spanish point! This incredible location is home to nearly 5,000 years of Florida heritage and said to be one of the largest preserved archaeological sites on the Gulf Coast.

Included in the abundant adventures offered by this historic spot are the intriguing stories of the pioneers of Spanish Point, the second “P” on the list. One of the most prominent pioneers to note is John Greene Webb and his family, originally from Utica, New York, who started his homestead on Little Sarasota Bay.
